An overhead crane remote control is a wireless control system that allows an operator to control crane movements from a handheld transmitter instead of being restricted to a wired pendant station.A typical system includes a transmitter, receiver and electrical connection to the crane control cabinet. Depending on the crane design, the receiver can send control signals to contactors, PLC inputs, VFD control terminals or other existing crane control circuits.Choosing the correct system requires more than selecting the number of buttons.
