Crane Remote Control Buying Questions: Real Customer Q&A from JIAYI

Table of Contents

Can I use this remote with a 220V electric hoist? Does this model support two speeds? Can I buy a replacement transmitter without replacing the receiver?

These are some of the questions customers ask us before ordering an industrial remote control.

This page brings together selected product inquiries from our AliExpress store, with additional technical explanations from JIAYI. The original screenshots show the questions customers raised; the explanations below provide more detail about model selection, receiver configuration and ordering.

If you are choosing a remote for an existing crane or hoist, these questions can help you identify what to check before purchasing.

1. Does the Q800 Support Dual-Speed Crane Control?

A customer viewing the Q800 asked whether it supported dual-speed operation. Our reply directed them to the Q808.

JIAYI real customer feedbackComparison Chart: Q800 (Single-Speed) vs. Q808 (Dual-Speed)

Our Technical Explanation

The Q800 is a single-speed model, while the Q808 is a dual-speed model. Their similar appearance makes it important to check the model designation and wiring diagram before ordering.

For a crane or hoist that requires slow positioning and faster travel, the remote must provide the appropriate outputs for the existing control circuit. Choosing a dual-speed transmitter alone does not add a second speed to equipment that lacks the necessary motor or drive controls.

What to Check Why It Matters
Single-speed or dual-speed equipment Determines the required button and output configuration
Number of controlled motions Determines how many commands are needed
Receiver wiring diagram Shows how the outputs connect to the equipment
Existing contactor or drive controls Determines how speed commands must be implemented

Before ordering: send us the required motions, speed requirements and existing wiring diagram so we can help confirm the appropriate model.

How Does a Dual-Speed Button Work?

Another customer asked whether a separate button was needed to select the next speed.

With a two-stage dual-speed button, the first stage provides the first-speed command. Pressing further to the second stage provides the second-speed command according to the receiver’s output configuration.

This is a staged press within the same button. The resulting equipment movement depends on how the receiver is wired into the crane’s control system.

2. Will the Remote Work with My 12V, 24V or 220V Equipment?

Customers have asked whether the A400 and A600 can work with low-voltage supplies, and whether the Q404 can be used with a 220V electric hoist.

Our Technical Explanation

There are two separate questions to confirm:

  • Can the selected receiver be powered by the available supply?
  • Are its outputs suitable for the equipment’s control circuit?

The equipment’s main supply voltage does not always identify the control-circuit voltage. For example, an electric hoist may use one voltage for its motor supply and another for its control circuit.

The receiver’s power-supply rating also does not establish the switching capacity of its relay contacts. These specifications must be checked separately.

Information We Need

Information Example
Available receiver supply 24V DC or 220V AC
Required motions Up/down, trolley travel, bridge travel
Speed configuration Single speed or dual speed
Existing control arrangement Contactor control or drive inputs
Supporting information Wiring diagram and component nameplate photos

Before ordering: confirm the receiver supply version and the control connections. A matching voltage is one part of compatibility checking.

For more detail, read our crane remote control system and wiring guide.

3. Can I Buy Only a Replacement Transmitter?

One customer asked whether they could purchase a four-button transmitter separately and whether coding was required.

JIAYI real customer feedback

Our Technical Explanation

A replacement transmitter may be an option when the existing receiver is compatible and remains in working condition.

However, matching the housing or button count is not enough. Transmitters that look alike may use different electronics, communication protocols or matching procedures.

The customer inquiry shown here concerns an E-card model. Its replacement procedure should not be applied to other product families without checking compatibility.

What We Check Before Recommending a Replacement

  • Transmitter and receiver model.
  • Product version and identification labels.
  • Frequency information, where available.
  • Button layout and required functions.
  • Supported pairing or configuration method.

Depending on the model, replacement may involve a matching procedure, an identification device or software configuration.

Before ordering: send clear photos of both units and their labels. This helps us assess whether a transmitter-only replacement is appropriate.

4. Can One Receiver Be Supplied with Two Transmitters?

A customer asked whether a set could be supplied with two handheld remotes. Our reply referred to a 2T1R option.

JIAYI real customer feedback

Our Technical Explanation

2T1R means two transmitters and one receiver. For supported models, this can be useful when a customer needs a spare transmitter or an arrangement for alternating operators.

The configuration must also define how control authority is managed. Two transmitters supplied with one receiver should not be assumed to support simultaneous operation.

Before confirming a set, we need to understand whether you require:

  • A spare transmitter for replacement use.
  • Alternating operation between users.
  • A specific control-transfer arrangement.

This is also different from one transmitter controlling multiple cranes or a tandem lifting system.

Before ordering: tell us how the two transmitters will be used so we can confirm the supported configuration and operating procedure.

5. Does the Q606 Include Configuration Software?

A customer asked whether the Q606 came with software or required a separately purchased USB programmer.

Our Technical Explanation

Software access, connection hardware and supported settings should be confirmed separately.

The response shown in the screenshot explains the software and cable arrangement offered for that inquiry. For a new order, we confirm the applicable software, compatible connection tool and included accessories against the supplied product version.

A generic USB cable should not be assumed to work with the receiver. The connection interface and tool must match the product.

What to Confirm with Your Order

Item What to Ask
Software Which software applies to this product version?
Connection tool Which cable or interface is required?
Supported settings Can the requested parameter be configured?
Package contents Is the connection tool included or optional?
Instructions What guidance is available for the intended task?

Before ordering: describe what you want to configure. This allows us to confirm the required tools and whether the setting is supported.

6. Is the Q400 Receiver Antenna Internal or External?

A customer asked whether the Q400 receiver antenna was located inside the housing.

JIAYI real customer feedbackInternal and External Wiring Diagram

Our Technical Explanation

The antenna arrangement needs to be checked against the receiver version.

In the inquiry shown here, our reply distinguished an external-antenna low-voltage version from an internal-antenna high-voltage version. For a new order, we confirm the antenna arrangement against the actual receiver being supplied.

This detail also matters when planning installation. Metal enclosures and surrounding structures can affect radio communication, so the intended receiver and antenna location should be considered before installation.

Before ordering: tell us where the receiver will be mounted, especially if it will be installed inside a metal control cabinet.

For further guidance, see our wireless range, signal stability and interference guide.

What These Questions Help Us Confirm

A useful product recommendation starts with the equipment and the required control functions.

These customer inquiries help us identify practical details that a product name or photograph alone cannot establish: the correct speed configuration, receiver supply, replacement compatibility, transmitter arrangement and configuration tools.

For your inquiry, you do not need to prepare a complete technical specification. Clear equipment photos and the available wiring information give us a practical starting point.

Need Help Confirming a Crane Remote Control Configuration?

Send us:

  • Your current remote model, if available.
  • Receiver supply voltage, including AC or DC.
  • Required motions and single- or dual-speed operation.
  • Quantity and preferred transmitter/receiver arrangement.
  • Photos of the nameplate, existing receiver and wiring diagram.

JIAYI can review the information and help identify a suitable product configuration, with wiring guidance for the selected system.
